Dear Knarr friends

It is with great sadness that I can inform you, that two of our oldest and dearest Knarr friends, Winnie and Eigil Mølsgaard has passed away.

Winnie and Eigil was for many years keen Knarr sailors, and won the Danish championship back in 1996. And Winnie won together with David Holm the International Knarr Championship in 1984 in San Francisco.

Eigil was the Knarr admiral back in 1984, and they both participated in several International Knarr Championship in Denmark, Norway and San Francisco.

Through this many races, a very personal and close friendship was established with Knarr sailors all over, which developed into close friendships beside the sailing. Especially friendships in San Fransico were highly valuable for their life.

Eigil and Winnie lived together for more than 62 years, and could not see them self being alone. They were both affected of age, and the health was not the strongest the last couple of years. When Eigil died first some weeks ago, Winie followed him and slept in 10 days later.

A beautiful way after a long life.

We have lost some fantastic friends. We should all sit back with a big smile and thanks them for so many years, where we were privileged to be part of their life.

Thank you, Winnie and Eigil

David Holm
